Education
Frederik received his MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering with Process Systems Engineering from Imperial College London in 2016. His thesis was conducted at the University of Tokyo and focusses on complex multi-scale modelling for the risk assessment of carbon storage technologies.
Prior to that he pursued within a dual course of study with the Bayer AG a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering and a training as a certified Chemical Production Technician at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.
Work Experience
After being trained as a Chemical Production Technician with the Bayer AG, Frederik worked as a Reliability Engineer and as a Process Improvement Engineer with Bayer MaterialScience AG and Covestro Deutschland GmbH. With a total of five years of employment on three chemical sites in Germany and in the United States he has a deep insight into the chemical industry. Next to his studies, Frederik worked as a tutor for several courses at the university.
Current activities
Currently, Frederik is employed in the Engineering Cybernetics Department at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. There he is a PhD student and Early Stage Researcher working on compressor fleet energy management. Furthermore, he is a Visiting Researcher within Statoil ASA in Norway and the ABB Corporate Research Center in Ladenburg, Germany.
