Education
Jesus holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia, 2010) and a Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy, 2014). In 2013 and 2014, he participated in an academic exchange research program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and worked as a reseach intern at SINTEF Energi (Norway).
Work Experience
Jesus has an accumulated 3 years working experience as Process Control and Automation Engineer. During this period, he has participated in engineering, construction and commissioning activities of Level-1 automation solutions for Oil and Gas Industries – both in Colombia and Norway.
Current activities
Early 2017, Jesus joined Pronto both as a Research Engineer at Acciai Speciali Terni (Italy) and a Promovierender (Dr. of Engineering candidate) at the Technische Universitat Dortmund (Germany). His research is focused on the modelling, control and optimization of steel production processes via Electric Arc Furnaces.
