Education
Giancarlo received his M.ASc degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Process Systems Engineering from McMaster University in 2016. He completed his B.Eng at McMaster also in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Process Systems Engineering and a minor in Computer Science in 2014.

Current activities
Giancarlo is currently employed by ABB Corporate Research Germany in a project partnered with the Technische Universität Dortmund where he is enrolled as a PhD student in the department of Chemical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Sebastian Engell. His research interests are process systems engineering as a whole, with his PhD topic focusing on optimization and scheduling.
