ESR-G: Dynamic real-time optimization of process networks taking uncertainty into account
Institution: Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
Industrial partner: BASF
Supervisors: Prof. Lars Imsland (NTNU), Dr. Marcus Reble (BASF)
Education
Eric received his MPhil Research degree (2016) in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from University of Cambridge and a MEng degree (2015) in Chemical Engineering (First Class Honours) from Imperial College London).
Work Experience
10-week fulltime industrial placement at GlaxoSmithKline R&D Stevenage (2014), 3-month Engineering internship at Air Liquide China (2013)
Current activities
Currently Eric is employed as PhD student by NTNU in Norway. The industrial placement of the project is at BASF in Germany. Eric’s PhD project goal is the development of novel methods for handling stochastic uncertainties for batch processes.
